C64 emulator for iPhone

Few believed, but after months of failures, Apple has finally approved the first emulator App Store: C64, which brings multi-touch screen iPhone and iPod touch some programs of the famous Commodore 64 computer, which made history in the 80s and 90.

In fact, emulators are prohibited by Kit (SDK official iPhone development), as they allow access to theoretically protected areas system. And it was precisely for this reason that Apple has demanded that the interpreter 2.0 BASIC (programming language native to C64) was removed from the application. Thus, it can only run the programs already included.

The cool thing is that in the future you can buy several other programs separately, through the procurement system In-App, made the application itself.

The C64 comes with 5 games already incorporated: Artic Shipwreck, Dragon’s Den, Jack Attack, Jupiter Lander and Lemans. Other titles now need to have their licenses negotiated so they can be sold for the iPhone and the price should be between $ 0.99 and $ 1.99.

Of course, this application makes sense only for the nostalgic who had the original computer. With graphics and primary and pixelated, the games do not bring any attractive compared with current titles. So, if you do not enj

oy something old, stay away from this.
